Gary Shemano

Gary Shemano:

Gary Shemano is discribed as a „skinny little mieddel-aged guy“ (p. 269 l. 1-2) who is looking and talking „like a white Sammy Davis Jr.“ (p. 269 l. 22).

He is a Jew and seems to be a decent and motivated guy.

Gary works as „the managing gerneral partner for Bear Stearns in San Francisco“ (p.269 l. 23-24), so his job is it to look for talented stock brokers which works in other firms and are good enough to work for „Bear Stearns“ and hire them if it`s possible.

He observes Chris Gardner and decides that he is very talented, so he gives him the possibility and realize his Amarican Dream.

The Film

The Film: „The Pursuits of Happyness“

„The Pursuits of Happyness“ is a biographical drama Film based on the same named book composed by Chris Gardner the successful bank broker over his own life story.

The film was directed by Gabriele Muccino in 2006.

The act is about Chris Gardner who lifes at the beginning of 1980th in San Francisco.

He works as a commercial agent who tries to demonstrate new portable bone-density scanners and sell them to doctors. But by reason that they are a lot more expensive then all the other bone-density scanners, he is not really successful.

That`s why his wife Linda leaves him and moves to New York, their son Christopher remains with his father.

Chris is surching a better job and get a 6 moth practical course in a broker bank without settlement, so he hasn’t got enought money to pay the rent and after a while they have to life on the street.

For all the situation he tries to be a good father for Chris and make a good job in his practical course.

At the Ende, he pass the test in his course and get a job in the broker bank.
